No wonder that we settled in Milfontes with her beautiful sandy beaches, 3000 sun hours and lowest rainfall per year. Here we very seldom suffer from extreme high or low temperatures. When the temperature goes up above land, a fresh breeze from the seawater brings us coolness, which is envied to people behind the hills and further away and in Spain who have to endure temperatures of 30 or 40 degrees C.
